 Chi Rho's 35-year-old Reading and Math summer camp is designed for fourth, fifth and sixth graders who need to improve their skills in reading and math.  Campers enjoy learning in a non-traditional setting among a low ration of student to teacher.

Using our beautiful outdoor setting, small groups of students are encouraged to build relationships that will aid in their development, enhance their self-esteem, and increase their desire for learning. 

Complementing the learning program is a traditional camp program including crafts, archery, nature, swimming, boating, fishing, games and campfires.

Backpacker Reading and Math Camp provides an opportunity to extend the school-year program into the summer when academic skill loss is greatest. At Chi Rho’s camp setting in Annandale, adult volunteer teaching specialists provide small group instruction in reading and math.

Leadership and Learning Camp brings educationally challenged students in grades 7-9 together to explore future vocational options and educational planning. Chi Rho’s curriculum focuses on exploring individuals talents, making choices, applying for, and gaining employment. Volunteers from business and education come together each summer and work with students at the camp facility.

Camp Yahooo is an inter-denominational camp program designed to bring diverse congregations together in a spirit of charity, volunteerism and compassion for all people. Volunteers from participating congregations bring together suburban, urban, and rural congregations together to reveal of commonalities among or diversities.
